The iRVy and Trinus drivers come in a trial version, with the former limiting you to 10 mins use and the latter fading to grey at around 5 mins, and they are good enough to see what PSVR is like on PC. It would be interesting to read of your comparison of PSVR and G2 if you get around to it. Re FOV, I believe that the G2 FOV is specced higher, another 10 degrees or so, but the PSVR does seem to have a very wide viewing sweet spot and I read that the G2's, with the stock face plate, can be quite narrow. This is totally fine for VFR flying, especially with all the high scenery detail I can achieve with my VR graphics settings, but not so much for IFR. As mentioned above, mine is now sharp enough that I can now (just) read airspeed and altitude but I need to zoom in to read anything else. The G2, and pretty much any other recent VR offering, would be much sharper than what I am seeing, but it seems the price to pay for that is lower VR graphics settings. You learn something every day! Given the per eye resolution I'm surprised it's good with dials etc but you're obviously getting good results with it. I may have a go, since I suspect the FOV is better than my G2 so it would be fun to experiment.
